Kevin latest article appeared in the October 2007 Golf Digest Magazine in their “Breaking 80, 90, 100” series. Last winter Kevin shot a DVD for the PGA of America with Bill Forest the 2006 PGA Teacher of the Year marketed through TN Marketing (Lowering Your Score-The Complete Short Game), has written numerous articles for PGA.com, and you may see other tips of Kevin’s on Chicagobusiness.com/golftip/
Kevin was asked to speak at the 2008 PGA Merchandise Show by the PGA of America where he will speak with two fellow PGA Members on best practices in Teaching. He will also speak with John Kim of PGA.com on other teaching topics during the Show as well as work in the Science & Motion Both with the SamPutt Lab.
Kevin’s biggest Mentor is Dr. Jim Suttie (The 2000 PGA of America's Teacher of the Year) with whom he taught with for 7 years 1997 – 2002 and 2005 -2006 Dr. Suttie has instilled in Kevin that great teachers strive to improve their techniques everyday.
Kevin also has 4 years of college coaching experience, 3 years at Rollins College where he was the Women's assistant coach; during that time they finished 2nd in the 2000 National Championship and 3rd in the 1999 National Championship. He also assisted Dr. Jim Suttie for 1 year at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Kevin played golf at The University of Mississippi. He continues to play competitively, he played in the 2001 and 2002 Illinois Open, he and his Junior partners have won 2 out of 5 Illinois Pro-Juniors, finishing second the other years. Kevin shot a 66 with his own ball in the 2002 Illinois Pro - Junior.

Kevin Weeks is in his 12th season at Cog Hill. He has been a Class A Member of the PGA of America since 1991 and has 20 years teaching experience. In the July 2005 issue of Golf Digest Kevin was ranked as the number 2 instructor in the State of Illinois. Kevin’s specializes in low handicappers and short game. Kevin’s students range from beginners to nationally ranked juniors, college All-Americans, and touring professionals.
Kevin has taught 8 NCAA All-Americans including the 2000 NCAA II Player of the Year. Two of Kevin’s students qualified for the 2005 PGA Championship. In the past 5 years 64 students have qualified for the Illinois |
